Embroidery Specialist: Amy Dainton

It’s time to meet Amy Dainton! We are all smiles to introduce her story and how Izzo Embroidery & Screen Printing is more than an ordinary workplace for her.

They say home is where the heart is, and this takes on a whole new meaning for Amy. Izzo Embroidery was originally started by Amy’s grandparents, Walt and Leahrae Izzo. With this, the store naturally played a huge role in Amy’s upbringing.

When you’re a child, there is no greater feeling of accomplishment than knowing you are helping your family – and to your family, no small or simple task is unimportant. For Amy, folding shirts, dollying boxes, filing, sorting, running errands, and helping customers was a way of her childhood…her memories with her parents and grandparents.

Growing up a Tiger, Amy attended and graduated from Beaver Falls High School. Upon graduating in 2004, she went on to attend Geneva College, where she pursued a BSBA with a concentration in Human Resources. As an adult, she became part of the Izzo team in 2010 as an Embroidery Specialist. She worked here for two years, and she then returned to the same role with us in 2017! Her main responsibility is embroidering names and numbers on a wide array of apparel.

Most people hope they are lucky enough to find a “work family.” For Amy, this is one of her favorite aspects – working not only with her work family, but working with her actual loved ones is something she always holds close to her.

It has been a part of my life since I was 2 years old, when it started on my grandparents’ front porch. The shop has always felt like a home, and I always loved being a part of it. Izzo is a name I’m proud of.

While she is not working at the shop, she enjoys more family time and volunteering at her kids’ school.

Please join us in thanking Amy for everything she has done, and continues to do, for the Izzo family.
