Embroidery Specialist: Peggy Izzo
We all know people that are happily married, but this woman is half of a marriage that really means business. Many people would shake their heads at the idea of working alongside their partner for 24 years, but not these two. We are happy to introduce to you the lovely Peggy Izzo, wife of Walt Izzo!
Peggy is a Beaver Falls native and has lived all over the area; her moving adventures in her youth even took her and her BIG family (12 kids!) as far as Ambridge in 10th grade, where she completed high school. With six boys and six girls, Peggy falls in line at sibling number 5. With Walt & Peggy currently residing in Eastvale, Peggy has built a family of her own – a son and two step-children, with a total 7 grand kids.
When you ask her, she might tell you that she has worked at Izzo Embroidery for 168 dog years, rather than 24, because she is just about the biggest animal lover you’ll ever meet. She rescues them and loves them with every fiber of her being.
Before she started working with her husband to help with the business, she worked at a machine shop in Cranberry Township making hospital equipment – six years that she considered extremely rewarding. At Izzo’s, she has been a supervisor in the embroidery department, and now she completes countless embroidery orders. She always finds excitement in the different projects that come to life in the shop. When asked about the project most special to her over the years, she fondly remembers,
My most memorable piece was a blanket that I embroidered for a family member. It was so emotional, and it became a healing piece for my family.
Izzo Embroidery is clearly a place Peggy holds near and dear for so many reasons. Join us in congratulating Peggy on not only supporting her husband for so long, but also becoming an invaluable member of the Izzo team. We don’t know where this place would be without you, Peggy!!!
